icdb.org came out of the desperate need for a paper-free and up-to-date intentional community directory which will serve both communities and their organizations and community seekers.
the hundreds of hours which went into designing and programming this project were so far spent mostly by a volunteer called ofek, who has traveled extensively visiting intentional communities around the world (see economads.com). Aron Heintz has been quite active with communicating to the people in the FIC and providing feedback together with Elph (who provided the initial data), Charles and Tony.
the design and source code is in the process of being organized so it can be opened to contributions. icdb.org will always be public, open, and free.
